Maitland Pickers bounce back from poor first half to demolish The Entrance | The Maitland Mercury

If Maitland’s first half was lacklustre, their second was positively sparkling as they put a tough Entrance side to the sword at Maitland Sportsground, running out 42-12 winners. The Pickers, after scoring first, were drab in the first half, failing to make ground and not putting any real pressure on The Entrance defence. But it all changed after the break. “We changed things around and decided to go up through the middle rather than attack them on the edges,” coach Matt Lantry said. “That made a lot of difference. And it pleased me that we were able to alter our plan midway through.
